摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a fabrication method of segments for stone cutting saw, which reduces manufacturing cost of the stone cutting saw, obtains high adhesion property of silicon carbide with matrix powder and improves high temperature stability by substituting some or all of diamond abrasive grains contained in the segments for silicon carbide(SiC). CONSTITUTION: The fabrication method of segments(3) for stone cutting saw(1) comprises a step of forming a mixture by adding silicon carbide abrasive grains having grain size corresponding to sieve size of 10 to 90 meshes or a mixture of the silicon carbide abrasive grains and diamond abrasive grains to iron or copper based bond powder for segment preparation, wherein the mixture contains at least 10 vol.% of abrasive grains including 5 to 25 vol.% of the silicon carbide abrasive grains and 0 to 10 vol.% of diamond abrasive grains; and a step of molding the mixture in a predetermined segment shape, and sintering the molded mixture to a temperature range of 700 to 1,200 deg.C.
