PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely, easily and quickly measure aldehyde without being influenced by an interfering substance by providing an electrode, an enzyme specifically acting on aldehyde, and a coenzyme complementarily acting on this enzyme. SOLUTION: As the electrode, a material generally used as electrode material can be freely selected. Examples thereof include a noble metal such as platinum, gold or silver, a carbon material such as glassy carbon or carbon paste, a semiconductor such as silicon or germanium, and the like. The form of the electrode can be also freely selected, and a three-dimensional form such as bar or plate or a flat form using printing technique may be applied. As the enzyme, aldehyde dehydogenase is particularly preferred, and as the coenzyme to be used complementarily with this enzyme, a desired material which has a necessary function can be used. |
