PURPOSE: A method for integrally managing a message box of a mobile terminal is provided to enhance users' convenience by integrally managing various types of message transmitted and received through a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: One or more message boxes are generated to store a message received by a terminal. A type of a message to be stored in the generated message box and a viewer for reproducing the message are set. When the terminal receives a message, a type of the message is analyzed and then stored in a corresponding message box. When a user selects an arbitrary message from a list of the messages stored in the message box, a viewer designated for the corresponding message is automatically executed to reproduce the message.
