AQUEOUS LEATHER-TREATING COMPOSITION FOR PRODUCING EMBOSSING-COATED LEATHER HAVING IMPROVED EMBOSSING PROPERTY AND ITS USE

PURPOSE: An aqueous leather-treating composition is provided to produce embossing-coated leather having an improved embossing property. And a method is provided also to produce an embossing-coated leather matrix by using the composition. CONSTITUTION: The aqueous leather-treating composition contains: a soft polymer particle selected from a soft polyurethane polymer particle having a glass transition temperature of less than 20deg.C, a soft additive polymer particle having a glass transition temperature of -70 to 10deg.C, or a mixture thereof; a water-filled void particle having an average particle diameter of 0.1-4 micron, wherein the dry weight ratio of the soft polymer particle and the water-filled void particle is 19:1-3:2. And the embossing-coated leather matrix is produced by the method contains the steps of: applying the aqueous leather-treating composition to a leather matrix; drying the composition to prepare a coated leather matrix; bring the coated surface of the leather matrix into contact with a designed surface with applying a pressure to the border of the coated surface; and separating the designed surface from the coated surface.
