Image sensor system operating with small amplitude scanning

A visual sensor that operates based on received image information with an external applied mechanical vibration. The vibration is used to move the image information relative to the image sensor. The image sensor senses the image information and applies that information to an image processing circuit that produces pulses based on transitions in the image information. Those pulses can be used to characterize the image.
