<p>A universal power operator (1) for shifting a movable barrier, such as a gate, and a circuit control system for operation thereof, is shown that allows the operator (1) to be assembled for both left-hinged or right-hinged movable barrier. The universal power operator (1) includes generally an actuator arm (20), a housing assembly (40), a gear assembly (50), and a modular drive motor (10). The housing assembly (40) contains generally symmetrical portions allowing the user to interchangeably assemble the motor (10) in one of two positions for use with a left hinged or right hinged movable barrier.</p> |
