<p>The present invention relates to improved liquid absorbing thermoplastic materials useful for example as absorbent materials for disposable absorbent articles. The liquid absorbing thermoplastic materials comprise A) thermoplastic compositions comprising thermoplastic polymers and suitable compatible plasticisers and B) superabsorbent particles dispersed in the thermoplastic compositions. Such liquid absorbing thermoplastic material, preferably in form of hot melt compositions, can be utilised in the absorbent cores of disposable absorbent articles, such as sanitary napkins, panty liners, disposable diapers, nursing pads and the like for completely or partially substituting said absorbent cores.</p> |
