PURPOSE: A method for setting a course in a dish washer is provided to store selected values in the corresponding course to determine user habit in washing dishes so as to allow users to set courses into the dish washer. CONSTITUTION: When a user selects a course, the selected values in the corresponding course are stored in a memory(S31,S32). The stored values in the corresponding course are determined to be same with the values stored before. When the stored values are repeated more than reference times(S34,S35), the dish washer informs the user of the selected values in the corresponding course to determine whether the user sets the selected values in the corresponding course as a user course(S36,S37). When the user selects a course settings, the user course containing the selected values in the corresponding course is added into dish washer courses(S38).
