PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent theft of large denomination bills in a cash register. SOLUTION: The safe comprises a lid 3 attached to a main body 2 so that it can be freely opened/closed, in order to block a currency housing space; an input port cover 4 attached to the lid so that it rotates between the lid 3 and main body 2, closing an input port 12 by rotation thereof to the side of the lid 3 and opening the input port 12 by rotation thereof to the side of the main body 2; a fixing mechanism 7 freely engaged with/ disengaged from a register table 50 and fixing the main body or lid to the register table by being engaged with the register table 50; a fixing lock 17 provided in the main body or lid for engagement/ disengagement of the fixing mechanism 7 with/ from the register table; a lid opening/closing lock 5 for locking the opening/ closing of the lid 3 with respect to the main body 2; and locks 8, 9 for the input port cover for fixing the input port cover 4 to the lid 3 and main body 2. A fixing lock 17 is arranged in a position shielded by the input port cover 4 rotated to the main body side, and the lid opening/ closing lock 5 is arranged in a position shielded by the register table 50.
