PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily connect any of the other peripheral device and the other editing device to a computer by simple constitution. SOLUTION: A repeater 4 is provided with a CPU 10 to be communicated with a personal computer 2. A switch 15 for switching a peripheral device I/O pin and an editing device I/O pin of shared connectors 13, 14 and connecting the switched I/O pin to a USB controller 11 is controlled by the CPU 10 in accordance with the other peripheral device 5 or the other editing device 7 connected to the shared connector 13 or 14. Thus the repeater 4 can connect the other peripheral device 5 or the other editing device 7 by simple constitution through one shared connector 13 or 14. The personal computer 2 having simple constitution provided with one USB interface part 26 can be connected and communicated with the repeater 4 and can be easily connected to any of the other peripheral device 5 and the other editing device 7. Even when any of the other peripheral device and the other editing device can be connected to the computer 2, any of the other peripheral device and the other editing device can be easily connected by the simple constitution that the repeater 4 is provided with at least one shared connector.
