PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time for loading and unloading. SOLUTION: A workpiece W is unloaded from a main spindle 2 during its movement by moving the main spindle 2 in the direction orthogonal to an axial center after the finish of working in the lathe of main spindle movement type. Furthermore, the workpiece W is loaded on the main spindle 2 at a moved position.
