PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized antenna unit and a broadcast receiver which is usable even for a wide available frequency band like television broadcast bands. SOLUTION: A matching control signal generator circuit 14 generates matching control signals S2, S3 corresponding to a receiving channel select signal S1 from a receiver 15, and change-over switches SW11, SW12, SW21, SW22 of a matching circuit 13 are turned according to the matching control signals S2, S3 to change over the inductance values of a series circuit 16 and a parallel circuit 17, thus expanding the available frequency band for the reception.
