PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably perform cleaning operations using a small-size nozzle and a floor nozzle by detachably connecting respective nozzles to each other. SOLUTION: This suction device for a vacuum cleaner is provided with the floor nozzle 11 and the small-size nozzle 10 detachably mounted on the floor nozzle 11, the floor nozzle 11 has a laterally long shape, and the small-size nozzle 10 is long in the front/rear direction. In a state where the small-size nozzle 10 is mounted on the floor nozzle 11, the floor surface can be efficiently cleaned and, in a state of detaching the small-size nozzle 10 from the floor nozzle 11, the small-size nozzle 10 can clean a narrow place which cannot be cleaned by the floor nozzle 11.
