PURPOSE: An inverter transformer and a switch for an illuminating lamp using the same are provided to prevent a short circuit by reducing a voltage applied on each node by using one inverter transformer for two or four illuminating lamps. CONSTITUTION: An inverter transformer includes one primary winding(1) and two secondary windings(2a,2b). The secondary windings are electrically coupled with the primary winding and have the same winding number to the primary wiring. Intermediate taps are extracted from each of the secondary windings. Alternatively, the inverter transformer includes first and second bobbins, one primary wiring, first and second secondary windings wound around the first bobbin, and third and fourth secondary windings wound around the second bobbin. The first through fourth secondary windings are electrically coupled with the primary wiring having identical inductances.
