IMPROVED ELECTRICAL CONNECTION OF SUSPENSION FLEXURE CABLE AND HEAD STACK ASSEMBLY FLEXIBLE CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost method for electrically connecting a slider to a control circuit.

SOLUTION: A preamplifier 401 provided with an integrated electric connector (1-connector) may be connected to the slider through an electric trace 204 or may be connected to the control circuit through a head stack assembly flexible circuit. The preamplifier 401 is provided with spring probe pawls of two columns parallel to each other, contact pegs of two columns parallel to each other and two grooves or one groove and one rotation type cam.
