<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of displaying an image with excellent image quality on a display section even when the image is reduced or magnified and carrying out its image processing at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: A control section 14 of the digital camera 10 generates a plurality of reduced image data with different reduction rates from original image data at image reproduction and stores the data to a memory 17. When a user makes the magnification instruction of an image displayed on the display section 16, the control section 14 selects one of data among the original image data and a plurality of the reduced image data stored in the memory 17 on the basis of the magnification factor of the image and the size of display image data outputted to the display section 16, applies reduction processing to the selected original image data or the reduced image data to generate the display image data and outputs the display image data to the display section 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
