PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make high output and high bandwidth compatible with each other with a magnetic head using a tunnel magnetoresistive effect. SOLUTION: The magnetic head is provided with a lower magnetic shield, an upper magnetic shield, a first electrode layer formed on the lower magnetic shield, a first ferromagnetic material layer laminated through a first insulated layer on one end of the first electrode layer, a second ferromagnetic material layer laminated through a second insulated layer on the other end of the first electrode layer, a detecting electrode connected to the first ferromagnetic material layer and a second electrode layer for electrically connecting the second ferromagnetic material layer and the upper magnetic shield. As a result, the capacity between the first ferromagnetic material layer and the insulated layer is made extremely small and the detection signal can be made higher in the bandwidth.
