MONITOR DEVICE DISPLAYING VIDEO SIGNAL INPUTTED FROM COMPUTER MAIN BODY

PURPOSE: A monitor device displaying a video signal inputted from a computer main body is provided to change a display mode without rotating a monitor, and need no change of a usual heat radiating structure in case of a PDP(Plasma Display Panel). CONSTITUTION: An LVDS(Low Voltage Differential Signaling) part(40) decompresses compression of the video signal received from a video card(30) of the computer main body(1), transfers a sync signal of horizontal/vertical signals, and transfers an RGB signal to a scaler(42). A microcomputer(44) discriminates a resolution based on the vertical/horizontal signals received from the LVDS part and provides the scaler with a control signal to control the RGB signal depending on the discriminated resolution. The scaler processes the RGB signal based on the control signal through a display part(5) including a video signal display section and a text data display section.
