<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the yield of manufacturing or improve product quality by suppressing the occurrence of a display failure by preventing scratches formed on the opposite side of the display screen side of a light guide plate, and by improving front luminance by preventing the degradation of reflecting efficiency in the reflecting layer of a reflecting sheet in a display device. <P>SOLUTION: This planar light source device comprises a light guide plate 105 having a light exit face for emitting light entered from a light source and a reflecting sheet arranged on the opposite side of the light exit face. The face of the light guide plate contacting the reflecting sheet has a structure of a prism form and the reflecting sheet has a reflecting layer 203 for regularly reflecting light from the light guide plate, and the face of the reflecting sheet contacting the light guide plate is covered with a polymeric layer 201. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
