PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level gauge for detecting an accurate liquid level without contaminating hands. SOLUTION: The liquid level gauge 1 comprises a guide pipe 10 that is provided so that it penetrates a tank 2, an opening end 11 in the tank is dipped into oil 3, and an opening end 12 outside the tank is open to the outside of the tank 2; a float section 21 that is arranged in the guide plate 10 and moves up and down by following the liquid level of the oil 3; and a level gauge 20 that is connected to the float section 21 via a wire 23 and is made of a gauge section 23 that moves up and down in linking with the float section 21. Then, since the liquid level is detected, based on the amount of projection of the gauge section 23 projecting from the open end 12 outside the tank in the guide pipe 10, an accurate liquid level can be detected without contaminating hands.
