PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency heating device capable of preventing the dielectric breakdown of a semiconductor switching element even in the mismatch of impedance in starting heating cooking. SOLUTION: The output voltage of a DC voltage source 7 for applying the DC voltage to a main electric power amplifier 6 is determined to be lower than the stationary output during a time when the impedance of a matching circuit 9 is adjusted in starting the heating, and the output voltage of the DC voltage source 7 is raised to a stationary output value after the matching of the impedance of the matching circuit 9 has been completed.
