<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive, by which the security of data recorded on the disk is increased by utilizing the information stored in a wireless tag attached to the optical disk and also the operation related to the reading of the data from the optical disk or the recording of the data to the optical disk is smoothly carried out. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk drive 1, the copy restricting information related to the copy restriction of the data recorded on the optical disk 10 is acquired by the wireless communication with the wireless tag 11 attached to the optical disk 10 set on the main body.
