METHOD OF ANALYZING PHYSIOLOGICAL FUNCTION OF TARGET SUBSTANCE

A method of analyzing the physiological function of a target substance by inactivating the physiological function of the target substance which comprises: (a) the step of binding an optically active compound represented by the following formula (I): wherein Q is a group for binding this compound to the target substance; to the target substance to thereby form a complex containing the target substance and the optically active compound; and (b) the step of irradiating the obtained complex with light to thereby inactivate the function of the target substance to which the optically active compound has been bound, or inactivate the function of the target substance at the site to which the optically active compound has been bound.
