<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR device capable of improving clogging of an EGR cooler without changing a combustion condition of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In the EGR device for the internal combustion engine which is provided with EGR coolers 14L, 14R for cooling exhaust gas on EGR passages 13L, 13R re-circulating exhaust gas to an intake side from an exhaust gas passage 4 in which pressure acting on at least one of the EGR coolers 14L, 14R can be adjusted by a turbocharger 6 as a pressure adjusting means, the turbocharger 6 is operated to keep the pressure on an outlet side at a time of exhaust gas recirculation of the EGR cooler 14L, 14R higher than the pressure on an inlet side at the time of exhaust gas recirculation, and a flow in a reverse direction to the flow at the time of exhaust gas recirculation is generated in the EGR coolers 14L, 14R. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
