<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which enables an image to be formed without going through a liquid development process, after image exposure, and which enables a planographic printing plate excellent in print wear, and an image exposing apparatus suitable for the image forming method. <P>SOLUTION: In this image exposing apparatus, an original plate 12 for the planographic printing plate, which is mounted on an outer drum 20, is scanned and exposed by using an infrared laser; the image corresponding to image information is formed on a recording layer of the original plate 12; immediately after an area A<SB>IR</SB>to be exposed is exposed by using the infrared laser, hot air is blown on an area A<SB>HT</SB>to be heated, including the area AIR, through a hot-air nozzle 44; and the area A<SB>HT</SB>is spot-heated to a prescribed heating temperature. The recording layer of the original plate 12 contains a photothermal conversion agent and material which can form a surface-hydrophobic area by heat, and for example, a microcapsule, which contains a cationic-polymerizable compound, and an acid generator are used as this material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
