<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine having a supercharger with a motor capable of securely improving start-up performance and warm-up performance. <P>SOLUTION: This control device for an internal combustion engine having a supercharger with a motor is provided with a supercharger 11 disposed on an intake passage 5 in the internal combustion engine 1 mounted on a vehicle to be driven by the motor 11a, start-up time supercharging means 16 and 21 to drive the motor 11a to conduct supercharging when the internal combustion engine 1 is started up, and intake quantity limiting means 13 and 16 to limit intake quantity supercharged by the start-up time supercharging means 16 and 21 to prescribed quantity or less. In conducting supercharging using the start-up time supercharging means 16 and 21 for supercharging by driving the motor 11a at a start-up time of the internal combustion engine 1, intake quantity is thus limited by the intake quantity limiting means 13 and 16. Temperature rise corresponding to pressure rise of intake air can be secured to be larger.
