PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for an ice/snow road making on-ice braking performance and ununiform abrasion-resistance compatible. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic radial tire for the ice/snow road, a plurality of vertical grooves 2 extending to a circumferential direction of the tire and a plurality of lateral grooves 3 extending to a width direction of the tire are provided on a tread surface 1. A large number of blocks 4 is formed by these vertical grooves 2 and the lateral grooves 3. Three or more sipes 5 extending to a width direction of the tire are provided on the respective blocks 4 and are opened to the vertical grooves 2 dividing the blocks 4. The sipes 5a, 5b at front and rear ends in the circumferential direction of the tire of the block 4 are opened to the same vertical groove 2. A bottom raising part 3a having width Ws being 20-40% of block width Wo and groove depth t being 50-70% of groove depth H of the vertical groove 2 is formed on a groove bottom at the opening side of the sipes 5a, 5b of the lateral groove 3 dividing the block 4.
