PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steer-by-wire type steering gear for a vehicle capable of performing steering even when a plurality of control systems have multiple disconnection. SOLUTION: In the steer-by-wire type steering gear, a first ECU 310 and a third ECU 330 in a first system SY1 and a second ECU 320 and a fourth ECU 340 in a second system SY2 determine whether communication lines W3 and W4 are disconnected, respectively. The first ECU 310, the third ECU 330, the second ECU 320, and the fourth ECU 340 allow data communication with the communication lines W3 and W4 when the disconnection is not determined, and switch data communication with the communication lines to data communication with a transceiving circuit 410 and an antenna 400 constituting a radio means.
