PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional observation system with which a delicate operative technique can be performed with an alleviation in fatigue of an operator and an operation assistant can confirm the same picture, as well as a mutual understanding between the operation assistants can be easily obtained. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional observation system includes a three-dimensional endoscope 2 which picks up two images having parallax, two LCDs 7a and 7b which indicate two images picked up by the three-dimensional endoscope, a first optical system 8 which guides the two indicated images respectively to left and right eyes of the operator 10 who is at the right opposite position of an examinee and a second optical system 9 which guides the above two indicated images respectively to the eyes of the assistant 11 who is at the right opposite position of the examinee, wherein the first and the second optical systems guide the parallax directions of the two indicated images to be approximately accorded with the parallax directions of left and right eyes of the operator and the assistant.
