<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actively damp abnormal vibration of a disc rotor by actuating an electric caliper drive device so as to negate the vibration when brake torque fluctuation in proportion to the number of revolutions of the disc rotor is caused by fluctuation of thickness of the disc rotor. SOLUTION: A dynamo-electric brake capable of providing braking force by actuating an electric caliper drive device 5 is furnished with a brake torque or caliper pressing force fluctuation frequency detection means 16 and a speed fluctuation frequency detection means 6 to detect wheel speed fluctuation, and abnormal vibration is prevented by actuating the electric caliper drive device 5 by a phase opposite to a vibration mode when output from the brake torque or caliper pressing force fluctuation frequency detection means is higher than a standard value and the fluctuation frequency is in proportion to the speed fluctuation frequency.</p> |
