PURPOSE: An optical disk cartridge and an optical disk are provided to be formed in small size in order to be mounted on an optical disk drive configured according to a compact flash card standard or PCMCIA standard, while realizing the same or more improved dynamic properties. CONSTITUTION: A cartridge body(200) protects an optical disk(400), and comprises an exposure portion to expose a recording surface of the optical disk(400). A shutter is slidingly mounted on the cartridge body(200), and opens/shuts the exposure portion. A shutter opening/closing unit opens the shutter when being mounted on a disk drive, and automatically closes the shutter when being separated from the disk drive. The optical disk(400) is formed at more than 22mm and less than 40mm in diameter 'do'.
