PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic circuit unit that is improved in the attaching accuracy of a cover and in the yield of a circuit board, and to provide a method of manufacturing the unit. SOLUTION: In the electronic circuit unit, a lower surface of the circuit board 1 has steps 1b formed by notching the lower surface and the cover 5 comprises a square top-surface plate 5a, side-face plates 5c bent downward from the top-surface plate 5a, and mounting legs 5d extended downward from the side-face plates 5c. The cover 5 also comprises locking sections 5e provided at the ends of the mounting legs 5d. The cover 5 is attached to the circuit board 1 by locking the locking sections 5e to the steps 1b in a state where the mounting legs 5d are disposed along the side faces 1c of the circuit board 1. Consequently, the attaching accuracy of the cover 5 is improved, because the position of the cover 5 with respect to the circuit board 1 is stabilized and the cover 5 does not float from the circuit board 1 nor is not inclined at transporting time, at soldering time, and so on.
