METHOD OF PRODUCING HEAVY METAL ELUTION SUPPRESSION MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a heavy metal elution suppression material capable of suppressing the elution of harmful heavy metals from the one obtained by subjecting waste or the like comprising the heavy metals to solidification treatment with a solidification material, which can be performed in a general air atmosphere without particularly controlling the atmosphere in general industrial production equipment high in productivity, and also reduces deterioration in its performance even if it is stored in the air.

SOLUTION: A raw material comprising a reducing material and a metal sulfate is melted at 1,200 to 1,600°C in an oxidizing atmosphere, so that the heavy metal elution suppression material capable of maintaining stable performance even in an oxidizing atmosphere can be produced.
