<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zirconia bead having a further small average particle diameter which is useful to disperse a material of further small particle diameter, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: This zirconia bead has an average particle diameter of smaller than 50 μm, a standard deviation of not larger than 6 μm, a sphericity of greater than 95%, and a compression strength of not smaller than 140 kgf/mm<SP>2</SP>, and it is manufactured by spray drying a slurry of the zirconia powder at 25-60°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
