<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball which is durable and which attains both of controllability in approach shot and flying performance in driver shot. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball comprises: a solid core consisting of one layer or a plurality of layers; and a cover for covering the solid core. The thickness (T) of the cover is 0.2 to 0.8 mm. The Shore D hardness (S) of the cover is 34 to 50.
