PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, low-cost superfinishing machine uninfluenced by the length of a workpiece. SOLUTION: This superfinishing machine 40 is provided with a grinding wheel swing shaft 48 supported in a swingable manner to a case 44, and a grinding wheel holder 54 mounted to the end part of the grinding wheel swing shaft 48 to hold a grinding wheel 52. The grinding wheel swing shaft 48 is provided with a hollow part 66 in the axial direction, and superfinishing can be performed while allowing the workpiece 70 to pass inside the hollow part 66.
