PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and reduce cost, and simultaneously to suppress the increase of waveform deterioration or a transmission loss, in a light transmission/reception module evaluation device. SOLUTION: As this light transmission/reception module evaluation device, a circuit for generating a test input signal pattern and a circuit for comparing an output signal pattern outputted from a test light transmission/reception module by a light signal based on the input signal pattern or another input signal pattern with the input signal pattern are formed on a substrate for connecting the test light transmission/reception module or on a substrate coupled with the substrate by a connector or the like. The device has a constitution for performing on the substrate the generation of the input signal pattern inputted into the test light transmission/reception module and the detection and evaluation of the output signal pattern outputted from the test light transmission/reception module.
