The invention provides peptides and compositions comprising them for the treatment of hair loss and excess hair as well as psoriasis. Methods of preparing the peptides as well as methods for their use are also provided as well as methods of assaying them for inverse agonist and agonist activities. The compound of the present invention may be topically administered to areas of skin requiring such treatment.
