Contact construction for DC loads and switching device having the contact construction

A contact construction comprises a stationary contact (1) and a movable contact (2), and a magnetic unit (3). One of the stationary contact and the movable contact is used as an anode-side contact and the other is used as a cathode-side contact. The anode-side contact is made of silver-tin oxide based alloy and the cathode-side contact is made of silver-nickel based alloy. An independent claim is also included for a switching device comprising the contact construction.
