PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring door searing gap, which solves the problem that account for cut-down of a car's quality without improvement of using accurate measured data for the reason that a measurement of a clearance between a door panel and a side out panel sealed with weather strip is operated by operator's simple sense is resolved. SOLUTION: The method measures the degree of sealing gap caused by weather strip between the door panel and the side out gap by calculating each distance with using time that laser beam returns to a sensor head of the laser measuring instrument and wave length of laser beam, after a coordinate system is generated with a reflection mirror and laser beam and 3-dimensional data of a design for helping a computer is made trajectory revolution with using this coordinate system and laser beam of a laser measuring instrument is radiated by turns to a reflection mirror mounted on each NC hole of 3 block bases cognized accurately it's location.
