摘要 PURPOSE: A noncontact jetting system is provided to more accurately apply viscous material dots on a substrate during moving, and to permit dispensed weight or dot size to be adjusted by changing either the temperature of the nozzle or the stroke of a piston in a jetting valve. CONSTITUTION: The noncontact jetting system comprises a control portion having a memory(54) for storing a desired dot size value, a source of viscous material, a jetting dispenser(40) connected to the control portion and the source of viscous material, a measuring device connected to the control portion and providing a feedback signal to the control, which signal represents an amount of dots to be applied by the jetting dispenser, and a first device connected to the control portion. The jetting dispenser is mounted for relative motion with respect to a board. The control portion operates to command a relative motion between the dispenser and the board, and to command the dispenser to apply the dots of viscous material. The control portion operates to cause the first device to heat a nozzle(48) in response to the feedback signal greater than the amount of dots to be applied, and to cool the nozzle in response to the feedback signal less than the amount of dots to be applied.
