PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car controller which does not cause deterioration of fuel consumption resulting from frictional resistance loss due to the accompanying movement of an engine and does not cause any shock resulting from connection of the engine in the following reacceleration operation, in the separating control of the engine from the power transmission line. SOLUTION: In a deceleration running of a hybrid vehicle, when the presence of a driver's braking request is distinguished, as the separation operation region of the engine to separate the engine 14 from the driving wheel 52 is widened by an engine separative operation zone changing means 108 as compared with the case that the braking request is not required, the engine 14 is separated at the vehicle braking that the next reaccelerating operation is hardly requested. And hence, the separative region is enlarged and at the same time, the shock accompanied by the connection of the engine 14 in reacceleration is favorably prevented. And the deterioration of fuel consumption resulting from the frictional resistance loss due to the accompanying movement of the engine 14 in a high revolutional speed condition is also favorably prevented. |
