Apparatus and method for minimizing transmission delay in a data communication system

The apparatus has a frame processor (113) to delete packet data stored in a memory area when copy of the data stored in the memory is sent. The processor determines whether a packet data combining is possible based on a state of the memory area. The data in another area is combined with the data in the former area when the data combining is possible. The combined data is stored in the former area. An independent claim is also included for a method of reducing transmission delay.
