Thermally compensated piezoelectric assembly

The assembly has a piezoelectric unit (11) coupled to a spring (12) by a coupling unit (13). Thermally induced expansion of the unit (11) is translated into a compensating movement of the rigid coupling unit and buffered by the spring. A collar has a coil and clamping ring, which is movable in axial direction between locking and enabling positions to prevent and allow compensating movements of the unit (13), respectively.
