The inventive car protecting device makes it possible to protect a car against theft and comprises a mechanism for tilting backwards the driver seat and fixing it in that position, a mechanism for automatically actuating a hand brake and a mechanism for locking the doors from the inside. The mechanism for tilting backwards the driver seat being actuated, the seat cushion is raised up at an angle and closes the access to the front seat. The backrest tilted back closes the access to the rear seat. The driver seat being tilted back, the mechanism for automatically actuating the hand brake and the mechanism for locking the doors from the inside are simultaneously actuated. The mechanism for tilting backwards the driver seat is mounted inside the seat cushion, thereby making it difficult to break it open. A similar device can be also mounted inside the front passenger seat, thereby increasing the protection of the car against theft. |
