PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter which is easy to carry and capable of crushing even hard objects including plaster with ease. SOLUTION: This cutter comprises a fixed lever 130, on the fixed blade side, having a fixed blade anchored at the front end, a fixed lever 150, on the movable blade side, having a movable blade 140 held at the front end, an elastic member 145 which pushes the movable blade away from the fixed blade, ratchet teeth 142 which are formed on the movable blade 140 on an arc concentric with the rotation axis of the movable blade, a feed claw 170 which is to be engaged with the ratchet teeth to rotate the movable blade in the direction toward the fixed blade, an handle lever 160 whose front end is pivotally fixed on the fixed lever 110 to drive the feed claw 170, a catch claw 180 which is to be engaged with the ratchet teeth to prevent the movable blade 140 rotated by the feed claw from turning reversely, and a lock claw 190 for stopping the return of the handle lever. When the handle lever 160 is reversely turned, the catch claw is disengaged from the ratchet teeth, and the movable blade returns to the initial position due to the elasticity of the elastic member.
