PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for securing voice data of a wireless data network are provided to prevent the bugging in a wireless block as well as a wire block by encoding voice data packets and transmitting the encoded voice data packets. CONSTITUTION: A service option of a corresponding transmitter is registered as a data service according to a request of a packet data service of a transmission control unit(401,402). A packet data communication channel is connected between the transmitter and a receiver through a packet data network(403). A voice data security mode is set up in a packet data communication device by inspecting the transmitted packet of a particular pattern(404,405). The voice data security mode is set up in the corresponding transmitter or the corresponding receiver by transmitting the packet of the particular pattern according to control operations of the transmission control unit and a reception control unit(406,407). A frame including the encoded voice data packet is transmitted between the transmitter and the receiver(408).
