PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set and a server, which can constitute a recorder service system in which recording for long time is possible and a necessary part of a recorded content can be detected in short period of time. SOLUTION: The portable telephone set 1 inputs voice, generates voice data, transmits voice data to the server 3 and instructs the server 3 on recording of voice data during a recording mode. The portable telephone set 1 selects one piece of voice data from a plurality of pieces of voice data recorded in the server 3, designates a part of or whole selected voice data, instructs the server 3 of transmission of a part of or whole designated voice and receives a part of or whole designated voice data and reproduces received voice data during a reproducing mode.
