PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release agent composition which may be treated safely and reliably to strip a film sheet material from a signboard and an indicating (index) body for advertisement, is easy for handling and readily usable, dissolves apprehensions about hazardous nature, odor, impacts on health or environment, or the like, and can be utilized broadly and generally. SOLUTION: While making good use of the characteristic of a well-known pyrrolidone solvent, a carboxyvinyl polymer and a polyoxyethylene alkylamine as viscosity-imparting substances, are finished into a viscous material with good constancy and stability, using a terpene hydrocarbon and a nonionic surfactant as the base through the medium of a lower alcohol. As a result, characteristics of such a commodity product as based on the pyrrolidone solvent are more clearly exhibited, easily enabling the stripping of a polymer-containing seal, label, sticker or the like as well as a film sheet and the cleaning of an adhesive, and also allowing care for environment to be achieved.
