<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power output device suitable for a mechanical distribution type hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit CPU184 generates an H-level signal SE according to a signal STON outputted from a start key and outputs it to a relay 40, and turns on system relays SMR1 and SMR3. By this operation, a DC power supply 30 is connected to a neutral point M1 of a three-phase coil 10 and a neutral point M2 of a three-phase coil 11. The control unit CPU184 generates a signal PWMPC1 or PWMPC2 when a voltage Vc from a voltage sensor 51 reaches a voltage Vb from a voltage sensor 32 or higher, and outputs it to an inverter 181 or 182.
